In the ‘Options’ section of the ‘New Database’ wizard, you can configure additional settings for your database. Tip: It’s best to keep the initial size of your database small and increase it as needed to avoid wasting valuable storage space. This includes specifying the file groups, the file location, and the initial size of the database. In the ‘Files’ section of the ‘New Database’ wizard, you’ll need to choose the file settings for your database. Tip: Avoid using spaces, special characters or reserved keywords when naming your database. This name will be the identifier for your database, so it’s important to choose something meaningful and descriptive. In the ‘General’ section of the ‘New Database’ wizard, you’ll be prompted to enter a name for your new database. Tip: If you prefer using keyboard shortcuts, you can also press ‘Ctrl + N’ to open the ‘New Database’ wizard. This will open the ‘New Database’ wizard. Then, right-click on ‘Databases’ and select ‘New Database’. To create a local database, select ‘Object Explorer’ on the left-hand side of the screen. Tip: If you’re planning to work with SQL Server frequently, you can save time by creating a shortcut to SQL Server Management Studio on your desktop. Since you’re creating a local database, you can use the default settings by selecting ‘Windows Authentication’ and leaving the server name field blank.
